Tokyo Guide : Arakawa Yuen (あらかわ遊園)

Categorised in: | Link of this article

Arakawa Yuen (Arakawa Amusement Park) is an amusement park in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo.

Being an amusement park with a long history, it had been closed since December 2018, but reopened on April 21, 2022.

The park is located along the Toden Arakawa Line and was opened in 1922. It is an amusement park with a famous history in Japan.

There are many family-friendly spots at Arakawa Amusement Park. There is a car park with attractions such as a Ferris wheel and the slowest coaster in Japan, an area with about 20 kinds of animals, an indoor playground that can be used even on rainy days, and a miniature museum for kids who love trains.

There is also a water playground, outdoor trampoline playground equipment, and fishing ponds that can be enjoyed by many people.

There is also “Cafe 193,” a café in a former Toden street car, where you can buy rare Japanese sweets called “Toden monaka. I recommend tasting them as souvenirs or as memories!

Since it is crowded on weekends, I recommend to visit on a weekday!
