In this video, I introduce how to make Japanese-style chicken broth. This broth is perfect for making Ramen which I usually teach in my cooking class in Tokyo. I’ve also put “Soy sauce based Ramen“, “Seasoned Egg” and “Egg noodles” recipe videos before. Please don’t forget to check them as well!
One thing I look forward to in the summer is making ice cream. This time, I introduce how to make ice cream using matcha. My children are not fond of drinking matcha as it is, but when it comes to ice cream, it seems to be a different story, and I always worry that they eat too much. Please try making this matcha ice cream!
Traveling is the best education. Since my husband was having his business, so I took my son to the Kidspace Children’s Museum. So many new things for him!

Day 4: Since my son is a BIG train lover, I took him to the travel town (while my husband working…!). We watched and took many photos in front of the trains made in USA We also tried a small train ride that runs there and enjoyed the scenery .
Day 3 We visited the local food truck event hold at Smorgasburg area.
At the event, I tried dirty chai ☕️ (sooo yum!!!), Berry donut with fried chicken 🍗🍩 and onigiri rice balls 🍙! Yes, Japanese food! The fillings were a little bit different. I mean, they were localized.
Day 2 started with healthy breakfast ordered via Uber eats. I ordered vegan donut , Almond croissant , Ceviche with cauliflower, Karaage with creamy butter-milk sauce and Almond milk coffee. Some are new flavor for me so it was so fun and meaningful.
My family and I visited LA for half holiday and half “food research” last week. In the airplane, I booked “Low carbohydrate meal” for me and “Child meal” for my son. You can choose various meals from ANA’s website in advance.
